Giovanna Molinari-Casile

Switzerland

Giovanna Molinari-Casile is an Italian designer and artist who now lives and works in Switzerland. Having grown up in a family of botanists, she developed an early sensitivity to nature, its forms and materials, and their transience.

Her art, which is strongly influenced by Japanese and Asian aesthetics, celebrates her love of detail and quiet beauty. Her works, created using fine paper, capture the beauty, irregularity and fragility of flora and fauna. The transience of flowers and animals with symbolic meaning, in particular, gives her motifs an ethereal, hyper-realistic presence.
By addressing themes such as becoming, passing away and renewal, her art reflects the cyclical nature of life. Through a conscious reduction to the essentials, her artworks radiate calm, depth and emotional resonance.

Since 2011, she has collaborated with her husband, the renowned interior designer Cesare Molinari, to create holistic concepts in which art, space and atmosphere merge in perfect harmony.
Her works encourage us to pause, observe and rediscover the quiet, often overlooked qualities of nature. She creates spaces for tranquillity, mindfulness and emotional depth that transcend time and fleeting trends.

Majestic and graceful, the koi fish has always been a symbol of courage, strength and endurance. Because it is always on the move and can swim against the current, the koi is considered one of the most energetic and powerful fish. Due to its symbolic strength, it is a symbol of perseverance, inner strength and elegance.
