Galerie Schwarzburger Hof
Germany
The Schwarzburger Hof Gallery in Weimar is a diverse space for artistic exchange. It provides a platform for the celebration of these values. As well as hosting exhibitions, the gallery is a platform for encounters that promote new dialogues and ideas.
The gallery was founded with the aim of uniting different forms of artistic expression and cultural backgrounds. The magnificent palace in which the gallery is located dates back to the 18th century and has a long history as a hotel. This historic setting provides the gallery with a unique backdrop, creating an exciting dialogue between past and present and breathing life into art. This atmosphere encourages engagement with themes related to identity, promoting an understanding of the diversity of artistic expression in today's world.
At the fair, the gallery will be exhibiting works by Catori Bela, Hans-Jürgen Gessner, Viktor Kretz, Elena Neuner, Gabriela Reiner, Katrin Sergejew, Avtandil Shengelia, Giorgi Shengelia, Peter Stechert and Lana Tumanidze.
The artists on display showcase a diverse range of styles and techniques:
Gabriela Reiner from Nuremberg explores the unpredictable and intrinsic nature of materials in her process-oriented works, combining drawing, painting and relief.
Also from Nuremberg, Hans-Jürgen Gessner focuses on personal perception and emotional visual effects in black-and-white and colour painting.
Avtandil Shengelia, who is from Georgia, combines the figurative with the sacred in his paintings, reflecting on themes of home and cultural identity.
Elena Neuner is based in Weimar. In her contemporary figurative works, she focuses on female figures and inner processes, conveying them through atmospheric colour abstractions.
Peter Stechert, also from Weimar, is a painter and architect. He explores landscape and light, drawing inspiration from his observations of nature.
Viktor Kretz, who is also from Germany, creates sculptures in dialogue with nature. He works with natural materials, integrating archaic and poetic elements.
Giorgi Shengelia, who is based in both Georgia and the Netherlands, explores emotional depth by moving between figuration and abstraction in his work.
Katrin Sergejew combines art and fashion to create wearable works of art, incorporating nature and architecture into her designs.
Catori Bela is known for her paintings and tile art, combining traditional techniques with modern media.
Lana Tumanidze, from Georgia, is an internationally renowned artist whose work is featured in many prestigious collections around the world.
