Art in Dongsan: culture as a catalyst for creativity and connection.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Art in Dongsan gallery in South Korea has become a driving force in the cultural sector. The gallery's mission is to enrich everyday life through aesthetic thinking and to promote the exchange of Korean and international art. With the opening of the Eunha Gallery in Seoul, the project has provided a platform for artists and launched a vibrant public art programme.
Its regular participation in international art fairs, development of sustainable networks, and presentation of Korean art worldwide underscore this commitment. One notable achievement was the award-winning project 'Visible Sound' by Sori Choi, which toured South Korea. In 2019, Art in Dongsan expanded its activities with the Jageun Art Museum, which hosts monthly exhibitions and brings art to life for visitors. "From Seoul to Zurich": Contemporary Korean art meets a new audience.
To mark ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH 2027, Art in Dongsan is presenting a curated selection of Korean artists represented by the gallery. The aim is to introduce their diverse practices to a Swiss audience, as well as to art enthusiasts and collectors. Since 2022, the project has been strengthening its international presence, for example through its participation in the LA Art Show, where two of the artists represented were honoured as Featured Artists in 2024 and 2025. Having entered the European market via VOLTA Basel 2026, Art in Dongsan is continuing this success story in 2027 at ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH in Zurich: On display will be paintings, sculptures, mixed media and other contemporary works that highlight the diversity of Korean art.
With 'From Seoul to Zurich', Art in Dongsan is building a lasting bridge between Korea and Switzerland – for new audiences, markets and sustainable collaborations in both directions.

Art in Dongsan: Kultur als Impuls für Kreativität und Verbindung.

Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2018 hat sich die Galerie Art in Dongsan in Südkorea als wichtiger Impulsgeber im Kulturbereich etabliert. Ihr Anliegen ist es, den Alltag durch ästhetisches Denken zu bereichern und den Austausch zwischen koreanischer und internationaler Kunst zu fördern. Mit der Eunha Gallery in Seoul hat das Projekt eine Plattform für Künstlerinnen und Künstler geschaffen und ein lebendiges öffentliches Kunstprogramm ins Leben gerufen.
Die regelmässige Teilnahme an internationalen Kunstmessen, der Aufbau nachhaltiger Netzwerke und die Präsentation koreanischer Kunst weltweit unterstreichen das Engagement. Ein Höhepunkt war das preisgekrönte Projekt "Visible Sound" von Sori Choi, das durch Südkorea tourte. 2019 erweiterte Art in Dongsan sein Wirken mit dem Jageun Art Museum, das monatlich wechselnde Ausstellungen zeigt und Kunst direkt erlebbar macht. "From Seoul to Zurich": Koreanische Gegenwartskunst trifft auf ein neues Publikum.
Anlässlich der ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH 2027 präsentiert Art in Dongsan eine kuratierte Auswahl koreanischer Künstlerinnen und Künstler, die die Galerie vertritt. Ziel ist es, ihre vielfältigen Praktiken einem Schweizer Publikum sowie Kunstinteressierten und Sammlern näherzubringen. Seit 2022 stärkt das Projekt seine internationale Präsenz, etwa durch die Teilnahme an der LA Art Show, bei der zwei der vertretenen Künstlerinnen 2024 und 2025 als Featured Artists ausgezeichnet wurden. Mit dem Schritt auf den europäischen Markt durch VOLTA Basel 2026 setzt Art in Dongsan diese Erfolgsgeschichte 2027 auf der ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH in Zürich fort: Gezeigt werden Malerei, Skulptur, Mixed Media und weitere zeitgenössische Positionen, die die Vielfalt koreanischer Kunst unterstreichen.
Mit "From Seoul to Zurich" baut Art in Dongsan eine dauerhafte Brücke zwischen Korea und der Schweiz - für neue Zielgruppen, Märkte und nachhaltige Kooperationen in beide Richtungen.
