In her works, contemporary artist Sandra Rossi concentrates on the human aspects of expression, gesture and our connection to life cycles, utilising various media such as drawing, mixed media and ceramics.
The evolution of her artistic style was profoundly influenced by prolonged study with the use of nude models, in addition to attendance at summer academies. Moreover, she successfully completed a course at the Masterclass at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Since 2024, in her 'Face to Face' series, she has dedicated herself to depicting heads and skulls, which she places in a universal dialogue.
The artist's oeuvre is distinguished by a discerning observation of the transient nature of the moment, which is rendered with a fluid application of paint. The artist's ceramic works leave tactile traces on the path to humanity and reflect a process of opening up and overcoming oneself. Her artistic style is distinguished by a synthesis of figuration and abstraction, wherein condensed lines, overlapping postures and sculptural forms oscillate between stability and dissolution. Utilising the artistic mediums of drawing and modelling, she engages with the concepts of movement, tension, memory and transformation. The emphasis is invariably placed on the human body and its capacity for inner expressiveness.
The artistic oeuvre of Rossi is distinguished by a potent and singular aesthetic, wherein an impressive synthesis of figuration and abstraction comes to the fore.

Die zeitgenössische Künstlerin Sandra Rossi fokussiert sich in ihrem Werk auf die menschlichen Aspekte des Ausdrucks, der Gestik und der Verwurzelung in Lebenszyklen, wobei sie verschiedene Medien wie Zeichnung, Mischtechnik und Keramik einsetzt.
Die Entwicklung ihres künstlerischen Stils wurde massgeblich durch langjährige Studien mit Aktmodellen sowie durch Sommerakademien beeinflusst. Zudem absolvierte sie ein Studium an der Meisterklasse der Hochschule für angewandte Kunst Wien. Seit dem Jahr 2024 widmet sie sich in der Serie "Face to Face" der Darstellung von Köpfen und Schädeln, die sie in einen universellen Dialog stellt.
Rossi gelingt es, das Flüchtige des Moments mit sensibler Beobachtung und fliessenden Strichen zu verdichten. Die keramischen Arbeiten der Künstlerin hinterlassen haptische Spuren auf dem Weg zum Menschsein und reflektieren einen Prozess der Öffnung und Selbstüberwindung. Ihr Stil zeichnet sich durch eine Verbindung von Figuration und Abstraktion aus, wobei verdichtete Linien, überlagerte Körperhaltungen und skulpturale Formen zwischen Stabilität und Auflösung oszillieren und in Zeichnung und Modellierung Bewegung, Spannung, Erinnerung und Transformation erforschen. Dabei ist der Fokus stets auf den menschlichen Körper und seine innere Ausdruckskraft gerichtet.
Die Werke Rossis zeichnen sich durch eine kraftvolle und einzigartige Ästhetik aus, in der eine eindrucksvolle Verbindung von Figur und Abstraktion entsteht.
